BOOKING

If you’re looking to get a tattoo from Rene, please read the information below carefully - if that works for you, email us.

Brainstorming:

  • Describe your tattoo idea in full detail, and the location on your body where you would like the tattoo.

  • Email the images that you would like to use for reference. These images are important because they will allow Rene to properly visualize and design the tattoo.

  • Please also send a photo of the location on your body where you would like the tattoo done (no weird angles).

  • It is important to make sure that the project is a good match for Rene before we can discuss available appointment dates and accept deposits.

 

Design:

  • Rene doesn't do color work, cover ups, or tribal/logo tattoos.

  • At the beginning of your first appointment, Rene will show you the finalized design. Designs are prepared a day prior to the session. With your input, Rene will design a first draft – we can see if anything needs to be improved or added the day of your appointment. If needed this process takes around one to two hours on average – we do not charge fees for this.

  • If there are lots of changes to be made Rene will reschedule you for his next available date, you will not lose your deposit.

 

Pricing:

  • Our standard rate is $150 per hour, Rene usually works on big pieces so any design 2hrs or less will be at a minimum of $350.

  • Rene does not charge for stencil time/editing design or any breaks taken during our tattoo session only actual tattoo time, so expect to be here an additional 2-3hrs.

  • If the tattoo exceeds the full day session time (7-8hrs tattooing) Rene will book you a second session to finish your tattoo.

  • Larger projects such as full sleeves, back pieces, and others may take 4 to 10 sessions depending on variables such as skin type, the size, detail of the tattoo, and other factors not listed here. As this is an artistic project, there is no way to guarantee the exact amount of sessions a tattoo will take upfront – every project and person is unique.

  • Touch ups are free for the first 6months (if needed) after your tattoo has been completed.

Payment and Deposits:

  • Payments are due immediately at the end of each session. The remaining balance can be paid by cash or card. We do NOT accept Zelle, Venmo, Cashapp etc. We do not have an ATM inside the shop. 

  • A deposit is necessary to secure your appointment – this is $200. Deposits are non-refundable. The deposit serves to reserve all your booking dates and will be applied to the final tattoo session if the project requires multiple sessions. If it is a single session, it will be applied to that instead.

  • If you need to change the date of your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, you must let us know at least 3 days prior to the session so we can rearrange our schedules. You can reschedule your appointment only once without loosing your deposit. A new deposit will be required to continue working together if you cancel or reschedule with less than 3 days’ notice. 

  • Once we agreed on all the details regarding your tattoo project we will send you the instructions on how to pay your deposit. 

 

Appointment:

  • The tattoo session will usually start at 11am.

  • Please do NOT drink any caffeine the day of your appointment & NO alcohol for several days prior to your session – this may cause excessive bleeding during the session and cause an issue with the healing process.

  • Make sure to be well-rested before coming into the appointment and eat a meal beforehand to prevent low blood sugar issues.

  • Make sure to wear comfortable clothing (black if you don't want possible ink stains) that helps with the tattooing process – if you’re getting a tattoo on your arm, a tank top or sleeveless t-shirt will be helpful – if you’re getting a tattoo on your leg - it’s better to wear shorts.

  • Rene will usually order some lunch for his client during longer sessions. You will not be charged for this.

  • The studio also provides complimentary bottled water & snacks. We also have a microwave if you decide to bring your own food.

  • If you are late, you must inform us via email. If you are more than 20 minutes late without any notification, the session will be canceled without any refund.

  • If you do not show up for the appointment - you lose your deposit and we will not be able to work together in the future.

 

Health Concerns and Conditions:

  • As for any health problems, allergies, and contraindications - please warn us about this in advance.

  • We cannot tattoo over sunburnt skin, so please avoid sunbathing/tanning/beach for a few weeks prior to your appointment. 

  • For your protection and the safety of others, you are required to notify us ahead of time if any of the following applies to you:

  1.  You have felt ill or been exposed to other individuals showing symptoms of illness within the past 14 days.

  2.  You have previously tested positive for Covid-19.

  • Upon your arrival at the studio, we will ask you to fill out the shop waiver and acquire a photo of your government issued ID for our records. Proper forms of identification include your driver's license or passport. If you show any other active symptoms like sneezing or coughing, we will assist you with rescheduling your appointment.

 

Closing Statement:

  • Your deposit and filling out the booking form will be understood as agreement to the entire policy above, and in doing so you agree that you will not be refunded the deposit or tattoo for any reason whatsoever.

  • It is essential that you include your idea, reference pictures and a photo of the location on your body where you want the tattoo. If you do not include this, we will not be able to get back to you.

  • We receive many inquiries so it may take 1-2 weeks to hear a response, please be patient and we will reply to you as soon as we can.
